HOW TO ENCOURAGE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS TO SPEAK MORE OFTEN AND CONFIDENTLY

You know that students need to speak more English in their classes. But the problem is, they just have not got the confidence to speak in English – they do not know what to say, and they make so many mistakes. How can we help them to be more confident when they speak in English?
Learning to speak is an important aspect of language education. It can also be the most fun. Most students are motivated to improve their speaking because they are aware of the advantages of being able to speak English well, but lack the confidence to speak freely in English.
I will introduce some activities that you can do with students to develop their confidence when speaking English and make speaking English easier for them. You can do this by:

1.Choosing topics to stimulate the students to speak in English
Many of the students will agree that it is useful to speak English well, and they will be motivated to learn the language. You can support their interest in learning English by providing interesting topics for them to talk about in the class. If students are interested in a topic and have something to say about it, then they are more likely to speak in class and participate actively in learning.

2.Giving students the language skills they need to talk about a topic
Students may find speaking in English difficult for many reasons. Another reason is that they may not have the language skills they need to speak English. Most students need some support, and some students need more help than others. They need help with both the grammar and vocabulary.

3.Giving students useful and positive feedback
So far we have learned about techniques to help students be more motivated about speaking, and to speak more confidently in English, but this does not mean that they will not make mistakes when they speak. Learning to speak another language takes time, and the only way to learn is by trying to use new language. It is therefore important to make the classroom an encouraging place to be – a place where you and your students can try things out without criticism.

Thank you for reading my article. Good luck with the techniques. Do not forget to be happy, always.

Recount Text About My Experience Of Life

Maret-24th-2018

My Frightening Experience

My worst experience happened in an airport about 1 year ago. I was in KLIA Malaysia. I want to go to Adi Sucipto airport. It was in the summer.  I was waiting for check in and it was so long. The pasport cheking also the same. The queue was long. I became panic because my flight was at 2 PM and I saw the clock at my phone, it was 1.50 PM. I had to run to the plane.
I was so tired because the way to the plane was long. I became confused because the place was so big and there were many ways. And then I asked someone to show me the way to the plane. After arriving at the plane, I was so lucky because the plane was delayed for 1 hour. And I felt relief beacause I did not need to buy a new ticket.
I was so tired but happy. I saw beautiful view from the plane. I made a  conversation  about job, status, home with other people to make me comfortable on the plane. I was picked up by family at Adi Sucipto airport. It was unforgettable experience.

KALIWATUBUMI VILLAGE AND KUTOARJO HISTORY

Kaliwatubumi is a village in Butuh, Purworejo, Central Java, Indonesia.

Kaliwatubumi is one of the old villages in Purworejo District. Located on the edge of the highway between Kutoarjo-Kebumen. In the village there is a hill that by the local community is called Mount Kaliwatu. At the top of the hill there are relics in the form of phallus and yoni. In addition there is also Giri Tjoemantoko Tomb which is said is one of the founders of the Duchy Sawunggalih (Kutoarjo)
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KALIWATUBUMI VILLAGE WITH HISTORY OF KUTOARJO KINGDOM
In 1587 Danang Sutowijoyo or Panembahan Senopati Loring Pasar son of Ki Ageng Pemanahan (early establishment of Mataram Islam), established the Sultanate of Mataram. At that time the name Semawung already exist, derived from the name of the Chinese yarn merchant named Sie Mau Wong. . The first son of Ki Ageng Panjawi named Wasis Jayakusuma became Duke of Pati titled Adipati Pragola Pati I.
According to Babad Tanah Jawi, Wacik Jayakusuma / Duke Pragola Pati I has a son:
1.  Raden Mas Tjoemantoko
2.  Raden Ayu Retno Dumillah/Kanjeng Ratu Beroek/Putri Moertisari
3. Raden Mas Baoeredjo
Raden Mas Tjoemantoko was appointed Tumenggung in Semawung part of the Bagelen area by his cousin named Raden Mas Jolang who had been the king to replace his father as sultan Mataram with the title Sri Susuhunan Adi Prabu Hanyakrawati Commander-in-Charge Mataram and Raden Mas Tjoemantoko given the title Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko . After Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko died and was buried in the hill Satria of Kaliwatubumi Village, Butuh Sub-district, his community often referred to as MBAH GIRI TJOEMANTOKO.
His son, Raden Mas Kowoe / Ki Kowoe, replaced his father as Tumenggung Semawung with Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko II, who had a descendant named Raden Mas Gatoel.

It is said that Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko III liked to wander and have found a small kris named Kyai Sawunggalih (palace heirloom in teak in Bruno area), Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko III in his sleep dreamed that it is Pusaka Kraton and asked to be returned, then the heirloom was returned in kraton and received with pleasure by the King.

After Tumenggung Bantjik Kertonagoro Sawunggalih II died, was replaced by his son-in-law Raden Mas Soerokusumo who previously served Patih in Ambal District (Kebumen). during the reign of Raden Mas Soerokusumo the central government of Semawung Daleman moved to Senepo and Senepo villages were renamed to Kutoarjo. Raden Mas Soerokusumo became the first Regent in Kutoarjo with Raden Adipati Aryo Soerokusumo. in the record found the growth of trading in Kutoarjo more advanced than Purworejo. In kutoarjo at that time many craftsmen weaving and glassware from clay. Semawung is a fairly busy trading area, at that time many Chinese merchants arrived.
Raden Duke Soerokusumo after his death was buried near Ageng Loano's grave, RAA Soerokusumo's successor to Sunan Pakubuwono's wisdom was not the son of RAA Soerokusumo, but was elected directly from the Keraton Surakarta relative RAA Pringgo Atmodjo who ruled until 1870.
During the reign of Raden Adipati Soerokusumo, the district office was built on 8 hectares of land until the end of Raden Adipati Soerokusumo, the construction was not completed and continued by RAA Pringgo Atdmodjo until 1870 was complete with Kutoarjo Square. At that time also built a house kepstruk which is now a district office Kutoarjo. while the official house and controller located in Dusun Tegal Senepo Village is still intact and is now used for Mapolsek Kutoarjo, Landraad / prosecutor's office in the corner of Kutoarjo square which is now utilized by PDAM.
The reign of RAA Pringgo Atdmodjo of Kutoarjo Regency is divided into four kawedanan, namely: Kemiri, Pituruh, Grabag / Ketawang, and Purwodadi, while Jami Mosque of Kutoarjo  was built in 1860 complete with the religious court or head of the court.
In 1875 the Jami Mosque of Kutoarjo was restored by RAA Poerbo Atdmodjo.
Trade in Kutoarjo grew rapidly after the Yogyakarta railway - Purwokerto railway in 1880 - 1885, then in 1890 built railroad from Kutoarjo - Purworejo.
The names of the rulers in the Duchy of Semawung who later became Kutoarjo Regency, at the beginning of the area until Purworejo:
1. Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko I (his grave in Satria hill Kaliwatubumi)
2. Raden Mas Kuwu/Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko  II
3. Raden Mas Gatoel / Ki Jinem / Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko III (his grave in Kelurahan Semawung Kembaran Kutoarjo)
4. Raden Bantjak / Tumenggung Bantjik Notonagoro Sawunggalih I (his grave in Kelurahan Semawung Kembaran Kutoarjo)
5. Tumenggung Bantjik Notonagoro Sawunggalih II (His grave in Kelurahan Semawung Daleman Kutoarjo)
6. RAA Soerokusumo (His grave in Pesarean Ageng Loano)
7. RAA Pringgo Atmodjo until 1870. (his grave at Satria hill Kaliwatubumi near the tomb of Raden Tumenggung Tjoemantoko I)
8. RAA Toerkidjo Poerbo Atdmodjo 1870 - 1915 (His geave in Satria hill kaliwatubumi)
9. RAA Poerbo Hadikoesoemo 1915 - 1933.
The rulers of Kutoarjo Regency are descendants of RM. Said or Kanjeng Sunan Kalijaga.
The history of Kutoarjo named Semawung is older than Purworejo named Brengkelan, the history of Kutoarjo begins with the existence of Mataram Islam and its rulers have a line of noble / palace. Purworejo was originally included in Kutoarjo's power, but because of Dutch powers and intrigue in the Royal Palace, the Dutch then created a new duchy named Purworejo / Brengkelan by appointing a servant to the Regent and because of his achievements in the eyes of the Dutch colonists acquired during the fight followers of Prince Diponegoro and kill princes on Mount Kelir, so the anniversary of Purworejo was chosen in Hinduism, not from the first Regent of Brengkelan / Purworejo inaugurated on 30 June 1830, because it has no nationalism value and is also an unfavorable example for the younger generation.

How To Make Teh Tarik

Teh tarik, or ‘pulled tea’ is An iconic Malaysian drink, the process of making the tea is a form of art. At mamak stalls where teh tarik is usually found, the tea-maker would skillfully pour and pull a long stream of freshly brewed tea from one huge steel mug to another, occasionally doing some stunts.
However, it is important to select the right tea leaves to ensure a perfect cup of 'Teh Tarik'. I have tried many types of brands' tea but they are no where near the classic taste of the 'teh tarik'.

INGREDIENTS :

1.       2 ½ tbsp  Tea dust
2.       500 ml  (2 cups) hot water
3.       4 tbsp   Condensed milk

I only have this ingredients, so I just used it.

TOOLS :

1.       Mug with handle x 2
2.       Coffee filter

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Combine tea with hot water, leave it to steep for about 5 minutes.

2. Strain into another steel cup with a handle. Add condensed milk. Stir well.
  1.

3. Holding a clean steel cup with tea in one hand, pour tea into a mug in another. Repeat the process a few times until tea is frothy. Try to pull it from as high as possible, allowing it to mix thoroughly and frothy.   Serve hot or with a few cubes of ice for teh ais.

4. Finally, Teh Tarik is ready to drink. I like to add 2 yellow eggs, how about you.

Thank you for reading my procedure text, may be useful for you and good luck to try at home.
