How To Make Teh Tarik

Teh tarik, or ‘pulled tea’ is An iconic Malaysian drink, the process of making the tea is a form of art. At mamak stalls where teh tarik is usually found, the tea-maker would skillfully pour and pull a long stream of freshly brewed tea from one huge steel mug to another, occasionally doing some stunts.
However, it is important to select the right tea leaves to ensure a perfect cup of 'Teh Tarik'. I have tried many types of brands' tea but they are no where near the classic taste of the 'teh tarik'.

INGREDIENTS :

1.       2 ½ tbsp  Tea dust
2.       500 ml  (2 cups) hot water
3.       4 tbsp   Condensed milk

I only have this ingredients, so I just used it.

TOOLS :

1.       Mug with handle x 2
2.       Coffee filter

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Combine tea with hot water, leave it to steep for about 5 minutes.

2. Strain into another steel cup with a handle. Add condensed milk. Stir well.

3. Holding a clean steel cup with tea in one hand, pour tea into a mug in another. Repeat the process a few times until tea is frothy. Try to pull it from as high as possible, allowing it to mix thoroughly and frothy.   Serve hot or with a few cubes of ice for teh ais.

4. Finally, Teh Tarik is ready to drink. I like to add 2 yellow eggs, how about you.

Thank you for reading my procedure text, may be useful for you and good luck to try at home.
